Natalie Fotopoulos
Natalie Katherine Fotopoulos was born in Tampa, Florida on December 16, 1983. When she was in first grade she moved to Memphis, Tennessee. In Tampa she danced at Rosemary's School of Dance, Annette's Acrobatics and took ballet from Haydee 'Guiterrez. Natalie was a company member at Classical Ballet Memphis and continued to dance and teach for her mother's studio, Dance Dynamics until moving back to Tampa in July 2005. In Tampa, she taught at her aunt's studio, All American Dance Factory.
Natalie won Top Junior Soloist at Showstoppers Nationals when she was eleven, and Top Senior Small Group at Showstoppers Nationals in 1995. In 1991, she performed in the Super Bowl halftime show, and her dance group, Memphis Dance Force, was scouted by Star Search in 1993. She was a featured soloist at Libertyland Amusement Park and also choreographed shows for Visionland in Birmingham, AL and Libertyland. She has toured Europe with American Dance Company, who won the Prix de Italia and she was nominated for a Nijinsky award in the female soloist category. In 2006, she was chosen as a So You Think You Can Dance contestant, reaching the top 6 before being eliminated with Ivan Koumaev in the series' eighth week. Since then, she has traveled to her ancestral country of Greece to become a jazz/funk choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance (Greece).
